FOOD AND NUTRITION SECURITY
ICCSPL aims to ensure food and nutrition security for poor and marginalized communities, with a specific focus on women.
We works with multiple stakeholders to ensure that marginalized communities have rights to and ownership of resources; to diversify local production; to facilitate marketing of products with the goal of direct poverty alleviation; to strengthen civil society and to influence policy through advocacy.
- Promote access to tailor-made (extension) services for sustainable production methods, access to quality seeds and post-harvest handling, safeguarding biodiversity and resilience to climate change alongside production increase.
- Promote effective nutrition orientation and behavior change communication towards good feeding and care practices, especially for women, youth and children, meeting their caloric as well as micronutrient needs.
